Lorraine Crean


Primary school teacher currently seconded to the NCCA as Education Office for Primary Languages. Lorraine is currently undertaking a PhD in DCU and researching the family language policy of Polish migrant families in Ireland. She is particularly interested in how child agency can shape the language practices of bilingual and multilingual families. Lorraine is also interested in how educators and educational language policy in the school impacts on the children’s language ideologies and practices.
