The next meeting of the Irish Research Network in Childhood Bilingualism and Multilingualism will be held Thursday February 6th 2020 at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The meeting will coincide with the launch of the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Multilingualism (CALM) and the MSc in Applied Multilingualism at NUI Galway.
Our network founder Dr. Francesca La Morgia will give a plenary address and Prof. Helen Grech of the University of Malta will give the inaugural CALM lecture on the topic of multilingualism in Malta and its impact on speech and language therapy services.
As part of the meeting, we wish to showcase new research and innovative practice related to childhood bilingualism and multilingualism. We therefore invite 20-minute presentations from existing network members as well as non-members to discuss any aspect of their research relating to this childhood bilingualism and multilingualism, including but not limited to language policy, language processing, and education.
Those wishing to present should send an abstract to by Monday, January 13, 2020.
